November is Spirit of Wellness month, I thought to share with you an interesting journey for women related to “Unleashing Your Most Radiant Self”.

This is a journey that I had embarked on one year ago.  I was at a turning point in my life especially after the loss of my best friend and husband, Andrew.  There was a long road of grief and I knew that I had to decide my future.  Because I was questioning a lot of the “shoulds” and “have tos”, I was led to seek out anything out there that I thought would support me so I could figure out some answers.  Since that time, many people have come and are still coming into my life to teach me and guide me.  I am ever so grateful.

I do want to mention one of those supports.  In October 2013, I attended a Women’s Symposium on the west island.  There I met a wonderful person, Sharon Cohen.  She is a naturopath and was offering a six week course that “will free you from those old stories that keep you bogged down and will help you discover the tools you need to make your dreams and passions a reality – all the while feeling supported and cared for”.

I attended this six week course, met some amazing women and continue to meet regularly.  Attending this course is a significant part of what has led me to the journey I am on today.  I’m feeling fabulous, joyful, and beginning to design and live a life that I love.

Many of you probably have established supports for yourself so probably know that it is a strength to ask for help, not a weakness.

I was on the radio with Sharon on October 31st radio talk show, so some of you may have listened.  I talked about my experiences in this course.  (Click on the audio link below to hear the full discussion on the K103 Party Line Talk Show.) Sharon also attended the wellness conference here in Kahnawake held last month with Lee Scott and will be facilitating a course in Kahnawake for any women interested. You should check out her website at www.sharoncohen.ca

Enjoy a great month and keep well!
